Tuskegee Industrial Park Water and Sewer Improvements

Krebs provided engineering design and construction review services to the Utilities Board of the City of Tuskegee for the new water and sewer mains to serve a site in the Tuskegee Industrial Park just south of Exit 38 off I-85. 

The sanitary sewer installation required some challenges from some wet low-lying forest land to some very steep slopes to the project site.  Evergreen Siteworks, LLC out of Opelika, Alabama is performing the work.

The industrial site will be occupied by Samkee Corporation, a South Korean car parts manufacturer supplying parts to Kia and Hyundai.  They anticipate using 176,000 gallons of water a day at full capacity and they will create lots of new job opportunities for Macon and surrounding counties.  Samkee plans to start operations at the new site in March of 2024.
