Krebs calibrated Carroll County Water Authority’s hydraulic model in 2018. In 2020, Krebs evaluated the Carroll County water system using the Krebs’ calibrated WaterGEMS distribution system hydraulic model. The evaluation identified a 10-year Capital Improvements Project for the distribution system. The Capital Improvements Project plan took into consideration system redundancy, fire protection, service pressure, water quality, and planning for system demand growth. The plan includes a three-year capital improvements project list to increase distribution system capacity as the Snake Creek Water Treatment Plant expansion project is under construction.
Krebs continues to use the hydraulic model to assist CCWA with various projects, including water supply, growth, booster pumping stations optimization, new water storage tanks, and water storage tank rehabilitations.
